Driver
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ambulance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Safe transportation is the primary responsibility of the driver
- Rig check and identify any safety or mechanical hazards
- Operation of the ambulance according to all vehicle and traffic laws
- Ambulance maintenance and cleanliness
- Assist in restock as directed by the medic
- Carry out all functions and responsibilities in a responsible manner
Paramedic
- Encompasses all of the responsibilities of a medic
- Leading and coordinating an effective response to an emergency
- Scene management
- Cardiac monitoring, intravenous/intraosseous access, advanced medication administration, advanced airway management, etc
Medic
Responsible for effective and appropriate emergency care of patients.
Position Responsibilities:
- Effective care in accordance with their local, regional, and state protocols
- Completes all documentation in a timely manner
- Engages in continual education and consistent training
- Daily rig checks to ensure ambulances are in compliance and ready for response
